PERSUASIVE PUBLIC SPEAKING, COMMUNICATION AND AUDIENCE MANAGEMENT

We live in an age of information overload — constantly surrounded by a flood of stories and messages on social media, online platforms, in the media, and across professional, public, and private spaces. We are forced to make decisions faster than ever before. We need to be heard, understood, and trusted.

In this context, the ability to communicate effectively — the art of rhetoric — is more important than ever!

The world is changing rapidly. So is communication. That’s why the ability to adapt to these changes is a vital skill for the modern individual.

Training Program Objectives:

  • To become familiar with modern communication theories and learn how to apply them in practice;

  • To explore advanced communication techniques and learn their practical application;

  • To gain a clear step-by-step process for crafting impactful presentations and speeches;

  • To prepare effectively for each structural part of a presentation, speech, or media interview — in both content and delivery;

  • To learn how to manage the fear of public speaking;

  • To uncover hidden talents in public communication;

  • To begin speaking persuasively.

Training Program Topics:

  • Modern communication and its key characteristics;

  • Effective communication strategy;

  • What is rhetoric? Why do we call it an art?

  • The 8 elements of rhetorical mastery;

  • The fear of public speaking: its nature and how to manage it;

  • The power of breath in public speaking;

  • Observing and mastering the body: practices for bodily awareness and relaxation;

  • The role of voice in connecting with an audience — is it a gift or a skill?

  • Using resourceful metaphors in communication;

  • The importance of vocabulary: “killer” words vs. “motivational” words;

  • Metaprograms — a typology for identifying others and tailoring your language for more effective communication;

  • Practical exercises, group discussions, and feedback.

By the end of the training, participants will:

  • Identify the key components of an effective public speech;

  • Be equipped with the skills to independently develop each component of a powerful speech;

  • Be able to prepare and deliver a persuasive public talk on their own;

  • Use modern communication tools learned during the training to tailor their speech to different types of audiences.

Methodologies Used:

The program draws from the methods of some of the world’s most influential communicators and thinkers:

  • Jerry Weissman’s “Winning Presentations” method — the art of telling your story;

  • Konstantin Stanislavski’s method — deep psychological analysis in performance;

  • Aristotle’s foundational philosophy of rhetoric;

  • Jack Makani’s coaching methods;

  • Eckhart Tolle’s teachings on presence and mindfulness;

  • Dan Brulé’s conscious breathing techniques;

  • And Donaldas Duškinas’s own methods as a rhetoric teacher and coaching specialist.
